Twin Talks Washington, DC will bring together senior leaders across government, industry, academia, technology and civil society to explore how data, digital tools, and AI can be applied within existing permitting frameworks both to deliver near-term improvements and to complement and strengthen ongoing reform efforts.

The event will focus on:

  • How technology can be deployed across the full permitting lifecycle, from early-stage screening through environmental review and approval

  • Where AI, geospatial analytics, and shared data platforms can improve the speed, consistency, and quality of decisions under NEPA and related frameworks

  • How Federal initiatives, including the Permitting Technology Action Plan, can translate into practical implementation across agencies

  • How digital capabilities can support and reinforce emerging legislative reforms, improving how new policies are implemented in practice

  • Opportunities to improve alignment across federal, state, and local permitting systems through interoperable platforms and common data standards
