This year, Infrastructure Week became Infrastructure Month thanks to UFI Partnership Network colleagues at Bentley Systems whose international Transforming Infrastructure Performance (TIP) Summit landed stateside for the first time in New York City. The Summit brought together infrastructure practitioners and stakeholders from across the industry and the globe to exchange ideas and best practices.

United for Infrastructure was honored to co-host the event with Bentley, alongside several UFI partners, including Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners (SIP), the American Society of Civil Engineers, Meridiam, Stantec, and the US Water Alliance.

The TIP Summit fostered important dialogues and discussions about the future of our Infrastructure in the U.S.:

  • Maryland Lt. Governor Aruna Miller spoke about how tragic events, like the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, provide critical lessons on how governments can partner to respond rapidly and rebuild.

  • San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg shared how his city is investing in its residents to cultivate the next generation of infrastructure workforce.

  • Meridiam’s Tom Curtin and SIP’s David Gilford discussed how P3s can lead to higher quality, better maintained public assets.

  • US Water Alliance’s Renee Willette and Stantec’s David Goldwater highlighted the enormous funding gap required to bring our national water infrastructure systems into a state of good repair – and the “water heroes” that prevent disaster more often than we care to know.

  • ASCE’s Tom Smith continued to spread critical knowledge from the 2025 Infrastructure Report Card.

A huge thank you to Mark Coates, Rory Linehan, and the entire Bentley IPA Team for a tremendous event!
