The City of Palm Springs’ inaugural Extreme Heat Summit 2026, presented by the City's Department of Sustainability in partnership with the Office of Emergency Management, will advance climate resilience and public safety.
This full-day conference will bring together government leaders, researchers, public health professionals, emergency managers, urban planners, nonprofit organizations, business leaders, and community advocates to address one of the most urgent climate challenges facing communities today. As extreme heat events become more frequent and severe, the summit will focus on strategies to protect public health, strengthen infrastructure, and improve community resilience. Attendees will hear from keynote speakers and expert panels, participate in interactive sessions.
