The Annual Oklahoma Summer Transportation Symposium, sponsored by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, serves as a forum to discuss emerging transportation issues in Oklahoma for engineers and interdisciplinary scholars interested in tackling these challenges and to provide students with a better understanding of emerging career options.
Symposium topics will cover a wide range of transportation-related subjects, such as bridges, pavements, materials, planning, construction, geotechnical, emerging technologies (e.g., autonomous driving, UAV), and environmental issues. In particular, research addressing Oklahoma's transportation challenges and topics aligned with the SPTC theme, which emphasizes enhancing durability and prolonging infrastructure lifespan amidst extreme weather patterns are also included.
