Join us in Building a Stronger America
UFI launched the Building a Stronger America campaign in early 2026 to push for robust, sustained federal infrastructure funding, highway trust fund solvency, streamlined permitting and approval processes, and investments in resilience, innovation, and workforce.
We are collecting video testimonials, featuring elected officials, planners, engineers, and business leaders, that highlight how infrastructure supports economic growth, job creation, improved quality of life, and resilience. We will turn these insights into short, dynamic social media videos to be released throughout the year to show how many industries, sectors, and people these investments impact.
The campaign will continue while Congress debates the next surface transportation reauthorization and other infrastructure funding bills.

In addition a video, you are encouraged to engage with your federal representatives directly.
Direct emails and letters to your representatives are a simple and easy way to engage in the Building a Stronger America campaign. You are encouraged to make your email or letter more personal by including an example of a local infrastructure project that used federal funding to increase public safety, bolster the economy, create jobs, or otherwise positively impact residents and businesses.
The Op-Ed is designed to help generate a nationwide groundswell of support for robust and sustained federal infrastructure funding. Having localized versions of this Op-Ed in local, regional and statewide media across the country, we can elevate community voices and demonstrate broad public support for infrastructure investment.
